March is here. It's definitely in like lion! It looks and feels like January. I think Mother Nature is ticked off at us for messing with her and now she's decided to mess with us. Will this winter ever be over? The calendar says that it will be over on March 20, but I'm not buying it.
It's time for another 2014 knitting goals update!
Goal #1: Blanket WIPs. Minimal progress. I managed to put 6 more squares in the Sock Yarn Blanket. Not great, but considering I was captaining a Ravellenics team for most of the month, I guess it could be worse. The KAL I am participating in is now extended through May, so the 60-square goal doesn't really apply anymore. (Is it too much to hope the blanket will be done by then?)

While I'm thinking of it, I have to give a shout out to Steph at Woolythyme. She finished her blanket this month and it is amazing. Go check it out!
Goal #2: Work on only two projects at a time. Fail. I think it's impossible during the Ravellenics. I worked mostly on the Ravellenics project, but I also worked on socks, the Sock Yarn Blanket, and the secret project in gray yarn that I still can't tell you about.
Goal #3: Continue cold sheeping. Success! No yarn bought in February.
Goal #4: Use stashed yarn. Success, sort of. I finished the January challenge to use a recently purchased yarn by finishing the Wood Hollow Mittens and the secret project.

The February challenge was to used stashed yarn to work on a Ravellenics project, which I did, but see goal #7.
Goal #6: Knit 12 pairs of socks this year. Fail! I am still working on the foot of sock #1 of a pair of plain vanilla socks.

Goal #7: Finish a Ravellenics project this year. Well, we know how this sad little story ended. The stripey blanket is only 2/3 of the way done, a Ravellenics tale of woe. Now I'm down to just keeping track of six goals for the rest of the year, because I certainly won't be bringing this up again! (Well, maybe one more time, when I finally finish the thing...)
Hoping for a better March!
