My first finished object of the year...
SOCKS! Of course. What else?
The knitters among you will instantly recognize the Monkey pattern by Cookie A. (If you are a longtime knitter and did not recognize this pattern, you must be living under a rock! After all, there are 17,668 pairs of Monkeys on Ravelry alone.) This is my second pair of Monkeys, and this time I knit the no-purl version (replaced all the purl stitches with knit stitches).

The yarn is Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Sock in the Manu colorway. The colorway is named (I think) for the national park in Peru that contains part of the Southwest Amazon. These are definitely rainforest-colored socks. I have no idea what I will wear them with, because they don't exactly match anything in my wardrobe, but I like them all the same. I really like how the pattern made the stripes a bit wavy.
Monkeys. How many pairs have you knit?
